Hi, I’m Kris!

Welcome to my online writing portfolio. Writing (songs, articles, fiction, even poetry) is a passion of mine, intersecting with my professional career at various points in the journey.

I live in Charlotte, North Carolina, where I work in the real estate field as an agent and manager, and travel throughout the region as a songwriter and singer.

Below is a collection of some of the articles I have written in the past. I’ll continue to add to this list as I grow and write more. I’m also working on a novel, and once it’s finished I’d love to hear your thoughts! I’ll post samples of that here as well.

Thanks for checking this out!

Only the dead have seen the end of war.

We can disagree with the decisions made, the funding put into this effort, the politicians who use the headlines to their advantage, the companies that profit from the increased demand for war supplies. What we can’t forget is the young people who have fought for this conflict, who probably won’t be remembered as heroes in the history books because of the issues surrounding their sacrifice.

‘Carolina’ on my mind

Kid Rock Returns To Country Radio With Single “First Kiss”

I’m not sure how rare a true Kid Rock fan is; I grew up 45 minutes from Romeo, Michigan, where Robert J. Richie (Kid Rock) was born, and I’ve paid attention to his recording career as he progressed from early rapper to rock/rap, midwest rock, and now country.

Now I remember the Alamo

I’ve never thought a whole lot about my family history. I mean, I know my basic ancestry, what nationality my grandparents are, when the Hitchcock family made it to America, so on and so forth. Things that most people probably know or can find out from their parents pretty quickly.
